  • The netizens were pleased to see the sight and hoped the royal siblings would stick together

Prince Louis melted the hearts of the royal fans with his sweet gesture for his big sister, Princess Charlotte, at his first Christmas walkabout.

Prince William and Kate Middleton joined the royal family's traditional Christmas morning service for the first time with all of their three children in tow — Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4. It wasn't the first time their two oldest children joined the walkabout, but it was their youngest child's Christmas walk debut.

Prince Louis was caught on camera running while calling his big sister "Charlotte!" In the now-viral clip shared on Twitter, he dashed to his sister with his arm outstretched and handed her a small bouquet. The sight touched many royal fans.

"Awww! Prince Louis running to his Father, Prince William and his siblings to join them and hand Princess Charlotte some flowers is the brotherly bond I needed to see today," one wrote in the caption of the video.

The video received mixed responses from the netizens. Many were delighted with what they saw, while others hoped the royal siblings would stick together as they reflected on their dad, Prince William's strained relationship with their uncle, Prince Harry.

"And look at Prince George's big smile when that happens! Such adorable kids! They are wonderful siblings," one wrote with multiple red heart emojis.

"Louis loves his big sister!! [S]o wonderful. Let's pray they stick together through life, not like what is happening to Harry and William. Meghan has destroyed that brotherly bond. Harry needs to divorce her and go home," another commented.

"What an amazing and loving family. W and C raised these children right," a third user opined.

"OMG. That got me! Now we know why he ran! And he called her name and handed her the flowers. And he was surprised at everyone's surprise! PW/PK are definitely instilling good values in their kids," another commenter wrote.

The video of Prince Louis running after his family made headlines after the royal family's Christmas walkabout. However, before the recent clip, many thought he was only running to catch up with them. The new video revealed he ran to give his sister flowers.

"Oops, Prince Louis stayed with the public too long and has to run to catch up with his parents and his siblings! This is adorable and funny at the same time," one commented on the video that only showed the young royal running.

"Prince Louis getting left behind collecting presents at Sandringham this morning," another added.

Like other siblings, Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte also have hilarious moments. During the carriage procession at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration, they were seated next to each other.

Prince Louis waved to the crowd non-stop, so Princess Charlotte took her younger brother's hand and put it on his lap. Prince Louis waited for a few seconds before he started waving at the crowd again.
