Prince Philip recently made a public appearance this weekend on his way to Sandringham with Prince Charles.

Photos show the Duke of Edinburgh sitting on the passenger seat as he is being driven by his eldest son to Queen Elizabeth’s vacation home.

The 98-year-old retired royal appears to have gained some weight since the last time the royal fans saw him after he underwent treatment for a pre-existing condition. Prince Philip also looks well-rested and less frail.

After checking out from the hospital in December, Prince Philip sparked rumors that he’s dying because of the weight that he has lost. At that time, he also seemed very weak.

Weeks later, rumors about the Duke of Edinburgh passing away also made headlines. Twitter users claimed that the BBC would be announcing Prince Philip’s death very soon.

However, the rumors were proven to be incorrect because Prince Philip is still alive, and he’s actually doing very well. Even though he has been retired from his royal duties since 2017, he still influenced Her Majesty regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell exit.

While speaking with Express, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that Prince Philip continues to remain dedicated to his wife and the monarchy even though he’s no longer considered as a working royal.

“During his whole life the Duke has shown devotion to the Queen and service to the monarchy and it is likely he will have taken a dim view of Harry and Meghan’s recent activities. These included releasing a statement saying they intended to step back as senior royals without warning the Queen and other senior royals,” he said.

The royal commentator also said that Prince Philip must have advised the Queen on how to go about Prince Harry and Markle’s royal duties and titles. After the crisis talks in Sandringham, the Queen announced that the royal couple’s HRH titles will be revoked starting this spring.
