Prince Philip was recently photographed arriving in Balmoral with his only daughter, Princess Anne.

In the snap, the Duke of Edinburgh is wearing his signature attire: a blue collared shirt, windbreaker, and khaki pants. The dad of four is walking away from the car when his photo was snapped. Standing behind her is Princess Anne, who just got off the vehicle.

Prince Philip is 98 years old, and it is evident how much older he has become since he retired. The dad of four’s legs looks much thinner than before, and his back is a bit hunched. But Prince Philip’s tummy is quite plump and round.

Another noticeable thing in the photo is Prince Philip’s facial expression. He seems upset or unhappy to be in Balmoral. However, this may not be entirely the case. It is possible that Prince Philip looks upset and unhappy only because his face is quite wrinkly.

Prince Philip will be staying with the other members of the royal family at Queen Elizabeth’s vacation home for the next couple of days. Every year, the royals gather at Her Majesty’s home to bond with each other.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Sarah Ferguson joined Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie in Balmoral. However, their vacation was cut short after Prince Philip arrived much earlier than expected.

Meanwhile, ever since he retired, Prince Philip and Her Majesty have been living separately. A source told Daily Mail that the royal couple doesn’t get to see each other as often as before.

“The Queen feels the Duke has earned a proper retirement. She knows him too well, if he was still at the center of royal life he'd feel he had to be involved… Being at Wood Farm means that he's not too far away, but far enough to be able to relax,” the source said.

Joe Little, the editor of Majesty Magazine also said that Prince Philip divides his time between Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate and Windsor Castle.
