Prince William ‘Clashed’ With Princess Beatrice’s Ex-Boyfriend After Introducing Them To Each Other

Prince William reportedly clashed with Princess Beatrice’s ex-boyfriend, Dave Clark, despite introducing them to each other.

Princess Beatrice and Clark were together for 10 years before they decided to call it quits in 2016. At that time, the Duke of Cambridge seemingly got involved with his cousin’s breakup.

Prince William didn’t invite Clark to his and Kate Middleton’s wedding even though Clark was already dating Princess Beatrice at that time. According to sources, the dad of three worried over Clark being indiscreet.

One of Prince William’s said that Middleton’s husband is very particular when it comes to trusting people. Once his trust is broken, whoever destroyed it should forget about being friends with the future king.

And one year before Princess Beatrice split from Clark, a source told Daily Mail that Prince William isn’t a huge fan of his cousin’s boyfriend.

“William isn’t a huge fan of Dave. It’s fair to say that if Beatrice had asked the Queen for permission to marry Dave, and she, in turn, asked William privately for his view, she may not have been given a glowing report… Dave is a nice guy and he makes Beatrice happy, which is important, but William has always been wary of him… There is a clash of personalities,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice was reportedly devastated over her split from Clark. And to make things worse, the royal was heartbroken over the fact that Clark wed another woman just two years after they called it quit.

Princess Beatrice and Clark reportedly split after the 31-year-old gave her boyfriend an ultimatum to either propose to her or end their relationship. The Uber executive seemingly chose the second option.

While speaking on the “Royals” podcast, royal expert Angela Mollard talked about the couple’s split.

“A decade together – I think it was probably one of those relationships where they were comfortable, they really liked each other, but there just wasn’t that spark. He went on and married someone within [two years] of their separation… That’s always hard… So, she lost her boyfriend, [then] her sister got married,” she said.
