Prince William and Kate Middleton are celebrating an important milestone in their lives on Dec. 3.

Hanna Fillingham, a journalist for Hello! magazine revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced the latter’s first pregnancy on Dec. 3, 2012.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby,” a post on the royal family’s social media account read.

The post also mentioned that Middleton was suffering from Hyperemesis gravidarum, which is a very acute type of morning sickness. The mom of three struggled with the same symptoms during all three of her pregnancies.

But Dec. 3, 2012 was so important to the couple because this was when they announced that they were expecting Prince George. Their firstborn is third in line to the throne of succession and was born on July 22, 2013.

Middleton gave birth to Prince George and her two other children at St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing. This is the same place where Prince William and Prince Harry were born. One day after Prince George’s birth, he was introduced to the public.

Back then, proud dad Prince William gushed, “He’s got a pair of lungs on him, that’s for sure. He’s a big boy, he’s quite heavy. We are still working on a name so we will have that as soon as we can.”

Two years later, Prince George was joined by his younger sister, Princess Charlotte. The royal siblings welcomed their youngest brother Prince Louis on April 23.

In related news, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are waiting for the arrival of their first cousin from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. There are rumors suggesting that Markle will also give birth at the same hospital, but some royal fans are convinced that she will go for a home birth.

According to The Sun journalist Stephen Moyes, Markle may not give birth at St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing because the facility needs to undergo renovation. Unfortunately, the hospital scored two out of five stars in a mandatory government review.
