Prince William and Kate Middleton made sure that their children are comfortable in the water.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very hands-on when it comes to their kids. They also made sure that Prince George and Princess Charlotte are skilled in swimming.

On Tuesday, the future king told Eileen Fenton at the investiture ceremony conducted at Buckingham Palace that they are a “family of swimmers.”

“He said that he and his wife make sure the children can swim and they all go and they swim quite well. I can remember seeing when the Queen was young and her sister Princess Margaret - we used to see them swimming in pictures. He said the whole family have done it,” Fenton told the Press Association.

In February, the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted with Prince George and Princess Charlotte when they visited a luxury Norfolk hotel complex. They stayed there for half an hour.

The three royals reportedly enjoyed swimming. One royal fan said that Prince William and Middleton’s children were “impeccably behaved” as they practiced their diving skills.

Middleton even made the activity more fun by organizing little races for her two kids. The royal mother of three was heard saying, “Ready, steady go,” as Prince George and Princess Charlotte prepped to be in the water.

Prince George led the race, but his little sister never lost enthusiasm. Princess Charlotte was also heard telling Middleton, “Look mummy I’m diving in.”

Prince William and Middleton are good swimmers and their children clearly have the same skill. Prince George and Princess Charlotte enjoyed the water and were “super confident” during the sighting, according to an onlooker.

The future king and queen consort enjoy quality time with their children especially on holidays. According to an insider, the family do normal things when they are on vacation.

“They love going up to Anmer Hall where they’ll do normal things, like watch movies together, grill on the BBQ, play board games and have family football matches. Despite their background, William and Kate are incredibly down to earth,” a source told Us Weekly.
