Prince William, Kate Middleton Got Their Dog Lupo For This ‘Cute’ Reason
Prince William and Kate Middleton decided to take care of a dog for a very cute reason.
Middleton’s brother, James Middleton, gifted her and Prince William with the black cocker spaniel shortly after their wedding in 2011. They decided to name their dog Lupo, and the adorable mutt has been featured in several of the royal couple’s photos.
Natalie Bressini, a royal insider, told People that there’s a sweet reason why they decided to take Lupo into their home. At that time, Prince William had been deployed for six weeks, and Lupo was left at home with Middleton to keep her company.
“When Prince William was away in the Falklands, he went for dinner with good friends of ours in the Air Force and said how difficult it was for Kate because he was leaving for six weeks. It was just then that they got their spaniel to help with the time apart,” she said.
Last week, the mom of three admitted that she doesn’t like to be away from Prince William for very long periods of time. While at a Christmas party, she said that she knows how hard it is to be away from loved ones since Prince William once served in the Falklands and the Search and Rescue.
“I remember how it felt. But I can’t imagine how it feels when your loved ones are away on active service,” she said.
Prince William and Middleton have been married for seven years. They have also been blessed with three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The royal couple just welcomed their youngest child on April 23.
After Prince Louis’ birth, Middleton went on a six-month maternity leave. When she returned to work, she got involved in a series of “rift” rumors with Meghan Markle. Prince William is also being rumored to be at odds with Prince Harry. However, a source from Kensington Palace denied the claims.
But until today, Prince Harry and Markle have not been spotted in the same room as Prince William and Middleton since the alleged rift rumors were first reported.
