Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry had a number of milestones this year.
Kensington Palace shared a series of clips of the royal trio's family moments and foundation achievements in 2017 on Twitter. This proved that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry had a busy year.
This year, the royal trio's Royal Foundation has a lot of engagements. Its Heads Together was the London Marathon's Charity of the Year. It's also the first ever mental health marathon.
There were 39,000 runners who joined the event and received Heads Together headbands. The organization also works with eight leading mental health charities to change the conversation on mental health.
The Royal Foundation also announced that it will invest $2.7 million (£2 million) for digital mental health innovation. Prince William also launched the first internet code of conduct "Stop Speak Support" to help young people online.
Meanwhile, pregnant Middleton hosted a maternal mental health roundtable at Kensington Palace. The meeting aimed to help women as 20 percent were reportedly affected by mental health issues during pregnancy and on the first year following their delivery. If the said condition is left untreated, it can significantly affect the woman and her family.
On the other hand, Prince Harry visited Nottingham. He checked the work of Full Effect that tackles youth violence and gang culture.
Aside from their foundation, the royal family celebrated a lot of things this year. One of the family's highlight is Prince Harry's engagement with Markle.
"It was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got down on one knee," Markle said about Prince Harry's proposal (via CNN ). "As a matter of fact, I could barely let you finish proposing. I said, 'Can I say yes now?'"
Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte received her first posey in Germany. On the other hand, Prince George started school at Thomas's Battersea. The Duchess of Cambridge initially planned to escort her son on his first day, but she missed it due to hyperemesis gravidarum.
Prince William and Middleton's children also took part of their aunt Pippa's wedding. Prince George was the page boy while Princess Charlotte is among the bridesmaids.
According to Andrew Bates, Middleton was worried about her children's behavior at the wedding. "She said she was hopeful that they would be good, but you never know at that age," Bates said.
