Prince William, Kate Middleton Protect Prince George, Princess Charlotte’s Privacy This Way
Prince William and Kate Middleton are making sure that their three children live very private lives by following some ingenious steps.
James Bickerton, a journalist for Express, said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made sure to only have a small circle of loyal friends that they can depend on. They also avoid social media since they are not allowed to own private accounts and regularly leave London to enjoy some quiet time away from the press.
Omid Scobie, a royal expert, also told the publication that Prince William and Middleton want their kids to have as normal a life as possible. In 2015, the royal couple moved to Norfolk after the paparazzi invade their privacy. At that time, the palace released a statement addressing the problem.
“There have in the past been a number of intrusions into the privacy of the royal family which in the main have been a result of professional photographers using long-distance lenses. The Sandringham Estate trusts that there will not be a need to take any further action other than bringing these points to your attention,” the statement read.
Bickerton also revealed that Prince William and Middleton are very particular when it comes to the people that they will hire. Their children’s nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borallo, was trained at the elite Norland School for nannies. The couple’s circle of friends is also equally reliable.
Victoria Arbiter, a royal commentator, told Cosmopolitan, “Their friends are incredibly loyal. Nobody wants to the thrown out of the royal circle; this circle does not leak.”
Arbiter said that this is also the reason why none of Prince William and Middleton’s friends talked about their royal wedding in 2011. They are aware that doing so could only mean they are out of their circle.
