Prince William, Kate Middleton Skip Christmas Party Harry, Meghan Attended Amid ‘Feud’

Prince William and Kate Middleton just heightened speculations that they are not on good terms with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were supposed to attend the Christmas Party for the Royal Foundation on Saturday, but they canceled at the last minute. Prince Harry and Markle, who confirmed their attendance before, made it to the celebration.

Prince William and Middleton opted to not go to the after party as well, but Prince Harry and Markle were photographed at the venue.

“Not only were Harry and Meghan there, but they went to the staff Christmas party afterward. It was a very jolly affair. It’s a shame that William and Catherine did not turn up,” a source told Daily Mail.

However, a spokesperson for Kensington Palace clarified that Prince William and Middleton were not supposed to attend the party.

“Their Royal Highnesses attend these meetings in turn. This session was focused on programs led by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” the spokesperson’s statement read.

In related news, it has been reported that Prince William and Prince Harry are also at odds with each other especially after the latter accused the former of breaking his relationship with Markle even before it began.

The Sun’s royal correspondent Emily Andrews spoke to a royal courtier that shared more information about the alleged royal rift.

“As one courtier told me: ‘It’s my opinion that Harry feels he couldn’t protect his mother, so he’s going all out to protect his wife. This is his way of atoning. He will brook absolutely no criticism of Meghan – and he is so sensitive he often sees criticism or negativity where there isn’t any,’” Andrews said.

After Markle’s trip to Canada last year, Prince William decided to talk to his younger brother about their relationship.

“William told his brother they knew nothing about her background, her intentions, what she was really like. He just wanted to stress that becoming part of the royal family is a massive undertaking and the pressure and scrutiny is unrelenting. Was Meghan the right one?” another source revealed.

Unfortunately, the chat between the royal siblings did not go well.
