Prince William, Kate Middleton’s Love Story ‘Not Unique,’ Royal Correspondent Claims
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s love story is reportedly not unique because it has been repeated countless times.
Daniela Relph, a former royal correspondent, told BBC that several romances also started at St. Andrews. The university is where Prince William and Middleton first met and fell in love.
“There is just something in the air at St. Andrews. A mood of romance around the place… It seems the students here cannot stop themselves from marrying one another,” she said.
Relph also said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s love story have been repeated many times since it also flourished during a dinner party circuit. The royal correspondent revealed that some of the girls who studied in the school met their husbands there.
In a previous article published in The Scotsman, former St. Andrews University principal Dr. Brian Long told Prince William, Middleton, and the other graduates from batch 2005 that they might have already met their future husband or wife in school.
“You will have made lifelong friends. I say this every year to all new graduates, you may have met your husband or wife… Our title as the top matchmaking university in Britain signifies so much that is good about St. Andrews so we rely on you to go forth from St. Andrews and multiply,” he said.
Prince William and Middleton graduated in 2005 with an honors degree in Geography and an honors degree in History of Art, respectively. After graduating, the couple continued dating each other, but they split briefly in 2007.
After getting back together, Prince William and Middleton announced their engagement in 2010. On April 29, 2011, the royal couple tied the knot at Westminster Abbey. Two years later, they were blessed with their first child, Prince George.
In 2015, Princess Charlotte was born, and she was followed by Prince Louis in 2018.
At present, Prince William and Middleton are facing a huge controversy due to rumors that the former cheated on the latter with Rose Hanbury.
