Prince William and Prince Harry both stepped out to talk to the press just hours after their first child was born. But their speeches couldn’t be more different from each other.

In 2013, Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out of St. Mary’s Hospital’s Lindo Wing with Prince George in tow. A massive crowd of people and photographers waited for them on the steps of the hospital. The future king joked about Prince George having a good pair of lungs.

“He’s a big boy, quite heavy but we’re still working on a name. We’ll have that as soon as we can… It’s the first time we’ve seen him so we’re having a proper chance to catch up,” Prince William said.

During his first interview with the press, Prince William joked about Prince George having more hair than him. He also joked about his son getting more of his facial features from Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge was quick to say that she’s still not sure if Prince George really resembles her more than Prince William.

And before returning home, Prince William joked about Prince George’s late arrival. Middleton gave birth a bit later than expected, which resulted in the media dubbing it as the Great Kate Wait.

“I’ll remind him of his tardiness when he’s a bit older. I know how long you’ve all been sat out here… Hopefully, the hospital and you guys can go back to normal and we can look after him,” he said.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry was the only one who spoke to the press after Markle gave birth to their son. In his interview, he said that he and his wife still haven’t decided on a name for their baby. Prince Harry also told reporters that they would get to see Baby Sussex with Markle on Wednesday.

Prince Harry couldn’t help but praise his wife for delivering their baby safely. He also joked about not witnessing a lot of births that’s why he couldn’t contain his excitement.
