Prince William Reportedly Had A ‘Slightly Inappropriate’ Relationship With Rose Hanbury, Didn’t Cheat

Prince William was rumored to have had an affair with Rose Hanbury early last year. But the reports have died down since then.

In the “Royals” podcast, royal commentator Angela Mollard weighed in on the Duke of Cambridge’s alleged infidelity and said that she doesn’t think Kate Middleton’s husband would ever put his marriage or the monarchy in jeopardy.

Mollard said that Prince William and Hanbury were nothing more than good friends. However, their slightly close relationship may have also been inappropriate but that doesn’t mean they had an affair.

“Look the fact that it's died a death and we haven't heard about it through the rest of the year suggests to me it was just a bit of a blip,” she said.

However, some netizens are convinced that it was the royal family who urged the press to stop publicizing the said affair.

“I honestly believe Prince William had this affair with Sarah Rose Hanbury and the family knows it. This is why he and Prince Harry have fallen out and Prince Harry just doesn’t want to be around the fake fronting. It disgusts him especially knowing Prince William may be king one day,” Twitter user @EncourageMENow said.

Mollard also said that Prince William’s alleged cheating must have affected his marriage to Middleton regardless if it were true or not. After all, the affair rumors were the only scandal that plagued the couple ever since they tied the knot.

According to the royal commentator, the Cambridges are a very tight-knit family. And even though there’s little substance to the rumors, anything that happens to the future king would definitely make headlines.

In June, a source told US Weekly that the cheating rumors actually helped improved Prince William and Middleton’s relationship. Even though the allegations are hurtful, the royal couple reportedly sat back and examined their relationship.

A second source told the publication that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s marriage is as strong as ever after the scandal.
