Prince William has been the subject of affair rumors involving Rose Hanbury, a friend of his wife Kate Middleton, over the past several weeks. And all the gossip and rumored tensions between her and the Duchess of Cambridge has reportedly left Hanbury feeling "distraught."

A friend of Hanbury's reportedly told The Sun that the Marchioness of Cholmondeley has been having a hard time dealing with rumors of her hooking up with Prince William behind Middleton's back. Hanbury apparently felt upset that she was made the subject of rumors of an affair and was being regarded as the "other woman" just because she was friends with Middleton and Prince William.

"These are very, very trying times for Rose and she has not found it easy knowing that she is the subject of gossip simply because she happened to form a good friendship with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge," Hanbury's friend reportedly claimed.

Previous reports claimed that Middleton and Hanbury had a personal feud that led to them ending their friendship. It apparently came to a point that the duchess has refused to see Hanbury. Another source told The Sun that the two had been "close" but grew apart after their "terrible falling out."

The insider went on to claim that Prince William has been trying to bridge the two and help them reconcile as they are in the same social circle and live close to each other.

“William wants to play peacemaker so the two couples can remain friends, given they live so close to each other and share many mutual friends," the source claimed. “But Kate has been clear that she doesn’t want to see them any more and wants William to phase them out, despite their social status.”

In addition to this, sources have also claimed that Hanbury and her own husband may be experiencing some marriage troubles as well. Hanbury tied the knot with David Cholmondeley, 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, in 2009 and shares three children with him. The former fashion model's husband has been sitting in the House of Lords since 1990.

One source who regularly goes to the club owned by Hanbury's brother claimed that she and her husband David's marriage has been going through a hard time.

Hanbury was then spotted without her wedding ring when she attended the state banquet hosted by Queen Elizabeth II during President Donald Trump's visit last week. However, the marchioness had been accompanied by her husband to the event.

Take the rumors with a grain of salt, however, as Kensington Palace has yet to comment on the rumored feud between Hanbury and Middleton.
