Prince William’s Bond With Princess Diana’s Siblings Not As Strong As Prince Harry’s
Prince William and Prince Harry have both maintained a relationship with Princess Diana’s siblings, but it seems that the latter is closer to them than the former.
On the online forum site Quora, royal fans shared their thoughts on why they think Prince William is not as close to Princess Diana’s siblings as Prince Harry is.
Gwendolyn Hendrix McGregor Scherer, a former professor, said that the future King doesn’t have any issues with Princess Diana’s siblings and he’s not angry with them. But Prince William’s may not be as close to her aunts and uncle like Prince Harry because his personality is different.
“Harry is so like his mother, outgoing, gregarious, enjoys humor. Harry may have felt more of a connection or felt he needed that connection to his mother’s family more than Will,” she said.
But another royal fan said that this may not be the case. The unnamed royal fan said that Prince William and Prince Harry are equally close to Princess Diana’s side of the family. After all, the Spencers have also served as godparents to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children.
The comments from royal fans came after the official photo from Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor’s christening was released. The photo revealed that two of Princess Diana’s sisters were invited to attend the private ceremony.
But one royal fan said that the invitation to Prince Harry and Markle’s son’s christening may not have anything to do with how close Princess Diana’s siblings are to the Duke of Sussex.
“I honestly think it’s just a matter of photographic balance. If I were Kate then all the Middletons would be there, and so no one past direct family would fit… But Meghan just has her mom, so the picture looks too empty, hence the fillers… Nothing too much to read into except that Thomas Markle is for sure out now,” the royal fan said.
Another person said that Markle doesn’t have anyone else but her mom so to have Princess Diana’s sisters there with her was a fortunate thing to have.
