Prince Williams Makes This Surprising Move On Social Media Following Football Game
Prince William just made a surprising move on Twitter following the recent Champion’s League semifinals second leg game.
On Wednesday, a tweet signed with the letter “W” was uploaded on Kensington Palace’s official Twitter account. Royal fans were convinced that the tweet was written and uploaded by the Duke of Cambridge himself.
“Well done Liverpool – an incredible result, what a comeback! W,” the tweet read.
Liverpool beat Barcelona during the second leg of the women’s football game, and Prince William was unable to contain his excitement. A post signed with the future king’s initials is quite rare so royal fans couldn’t help but feel delighted over it.
“Does anyone know if William and Kate actually tweet or is it like a social media person?” one person asked on Twitter.
“A social media person but there have been times (like twice) William did it himself and I suspect this may be him,” another fan commented.
“This is definitely William,” another person exclaimed.
Prince William has been an avid supporter of the Lionesses teams, and he also happens to be the president of the Football Association. In the past, the dad of three has also hosted the England Women’s team at Kensington Palace.
In 2017, Prince William also had a conversation with Lioness Casey Stoney regarding her children when the athlete asked the royal if Prince George and Princess Charlotte played football.
“He said at the moment he’s trying to teach George that football is actually a contact sport but George doesn’t really like when he’s palming him off and getting physical,” Casey said.
In related news, Prince William also made headlines this week after he was asked to share his thoughts on the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son.
Prince William said that he’s absolutely thrilled with the arrival of his nephew and said that he is looking forward to meeting him and his parents in the coming days when things have quieted down.
