Six members of the royal family have reportedly honored Queen Elizabeth II in a very touching and special way.

In 1981, Prince Charles gave Zara Tindall her first name during her christening. Zara means bright as the dawn. Tindall’s second name is Anne, which is a tribute to her mom, Princess Anne. And her third name is Elizabeth, which is a tribute to her grandmother, the Queen.

Years later, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson decided to honor Her Majesty by giving their eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, the name Princess Beatrice Elizabeth Mary. Originally, Princess Beatrice was supposed to be called Princess Annabel, but the Queen didn’t like it because it sounded too yuppie.

In 2013, Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, gave their eldest daughter, Lady Louise the full name Lady Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary Mountbatten-Windsor. Once again, the name Elizabeth was derived from the monarch’s name.

Alice is the name of Prince Edward’s grandmother and the mother of Prince Philip. Mary, on the other hand, is the name of Sophie’s mom. Mary is also one of the Queen’s middle names.

Seven years ago, Peter and Autumn Phillips also paid tribute to the Queen by calling their eldest daughter, Isla Elizabeth Phillips. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s only daughter, Princess Charlotte, also has Elizabeth in her name.

The four-year-old’s other middle name is Diana, which was derived from her late grandmother, Princess Diana.

Tindall and her husband, Mike Tindall, also gave their daughter Lena the name Elizabeth. The young royal was born last year.

As of late, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are the only members of the royal family who have not paid tribute to the Queen. But this isn’t surprising because the royal couple’s eldest child is a boy.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son’s full name are Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. They decided to give their son the Mountbatten-Windsor surname as a tribute to the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
