Princess Beatrice will perhaps be affected by Prince Andrew’s scandal the most.

Next year, she and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are scheduled to tie the knot. Even though no details from their wedding have been revealed, royal expert Marlene Koenig said that the royal’s nuptials will be collateral damage.

“I will not be surprised if she has a rather quiet wedding, out of the public eye, with a few photos, no live coverage,” Koenig tweeted.

The Duke of York recently sat down for an interview with BBC’s Emily Maitlis, where he opened up about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and denied the sexual allegations thrown at him. Maitlis said that Prince Andrew felt that there would never be a perfect time to talk about such deeply uncomfortable issues.

“I can’t speculate as to what was in his head or what has gone on in his life. There are things coming up, like his daughter’s wedding next year and my understanding was that this was a once in a lifetime event. There are moments where it was quite raw, quite visceral, and it will be quite uncomfortable for the viewer. This is a man at the heart of the Royal Family who never does this,” she said.

Meanwhile, royal fans are wondering if Princess Beatrice has decided to postpone her wedding due to Prince Andrew’s scandal. But it is possible that no date has been set due to royal protocol.

According to Express, Queen Elizabeth is the first person to know about royal wedding dates, and she has to approve the date first before an announcement is made by the palace. It is possible that Princess Beatrice is still waiting for her grandmother’s approval until after the December UK elections.

Princess Beatrice’s younger sister, Princess Eugenie, waited nine months to tie the knot after she got engaged to Jack Brooksbank. It is possible for Princess Beatrice to also be following this precedent.
