Princess Diana Broke Ex-Boyfriend Hasnat Khan’s Heart After Confirming New Relationship
Princess Diana dated a heart surgeon from Pakistan named Hasnat Khan after her separation from Prince Charles.
Their relationship lasted for two years, but they had just separated for a few weeks when Princess Diana started dating Dodi Al Fayed. When the Princess of Wales died on Aug. 31, 1997, following a fatal car crash, Al Fayed was with her in Paris, and he passed away as well.
Following her shocking demise, Khan wrote a statement confirming his relationship with Princess Diana and said that they started seeing each other in 1995. At some point in their relationship, they also discussed their plans to wed.
Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former royal butler, claimed that his boss once referred to Khan as her soulmate. The mom of two also said that Khan was the man she loved more than any other person she was linked with.
Unfortunately, their relationship didn’t last because Khan didn’t want to live his life in the spotlight. After their split, Burrell said that Princess Diana was still a burning a candle for Khan when she decided to get into a relationship with Al Fayed.
“She knew that the photos of her [with Dodi] were being transmitted around the world and she knew very well that Mr. Khan’s daily routine was to go to his local shop and pick up the national newspapers, and that was her message, I believe, to Mr. Khan to say, ‘well, look at me now, look where I am,’” Burrell said.
Meanwhile, a forensic pathologist recently claimed that Princess Diana would still be alive if she was wearing a seatbelt on the day of the accident. Dr. Richard Shepherd told the Daily Mail that the Princess of Wales’ injuries were actually not fatal but the fact that it targeted her veins caused it to be deadly.
“If only she had been wearing a seatbelt… Had she been restrained, she would probably have appeared in public two days later with a black eye…” he told Daily Mail.
