Princess Diana, Camilla Had ‘Roughest’ Time As Royals, Not Meghan Markle, Netizens Claim

Meghan Markle has been complaining too much about her struggles as a new member of the royal family. And this prompted royal fans to ask who among the female royals have had the roughest time.

On the online forum site Quora, one royal fan asked if it is Markle, Princess Diana, or Camilla who had the hardest time as members of the British clan. All of the respondents only chose between the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. And no one said that Prince Harry’s wife is the one who is struggling the most.

Donna Haga, a former regional sales manager at Swarovski, said that Princess Diana had the roughest time because she was in a loveless marriage. Even though she was an official member of the royal family because of Prince Charles, it became evident that she was only in his life to serving a purpose: give him an heir.

“My understanding is he was not so happy with the birth of a second son. Prince Charles's ego could not handle how much the people accepted and loved Diana more than him,” she said.

Haga said that it is unlikely that Camilla has had the hardest time because she currently enjoys all the perks of being a royal.

Eileen Wood, a self-employed individual, said Princess Diana is the one who was gutted by the press the most before she married Prince Charles. Camilla, on the other hand, was vilified by the press because of her affair with Prince Charles and she’s still being crucified for her deeds today.

Cheryl Clair, a former housewife, and a six-decade royal watcher said that Camilla is the one who has had the roughest time.

“Even after Diana’s tragic death, Camilla was not allowed to appear in public with her prince. She was blamed for anything and everything. But she never said a word in public. Not one word about the woman who had called her a Rottweiler,” she said.
