Princess Diana and Prince Charles weren’t a touchy-feely couple. And they never rarely displayed their affection towards each other in public.

As such, royal fans are always delighted to see the former couple in a loved-up display. In an unearthed photo, the Princess of Wales cuddles up to her husband while they are walking on the beach.

Princess Diana’s arm is wrapped around Prince Charles’ shoulder, and her head is resting on the heir to the throne’s chest. Princess Diana’s other hand is hidden inside the pocket of her jacket.

But even though the late royal and the future King is engaged in a loved-up display of affection, it still seems as though they are awkward towards each other. Prince Charles has a stern look on his face, while Princess Diana only has a faint smile on her face.

At first glance, it also seems as though Prince Charles is not happy with his interaction with his ex-wife. In another photo, the dad of two kisses his wife’s hand in front of the photographers.

However, Princess Diana is the only person who seems to be enjoying the moment. She is grinning from ear to ear while gazing at Prince Charles’ face. The latter, on the other hand, is seemingly kissing the Princess of Wales’ hand by force.

Prince Charles also has a stoic look on his face, and his eyes are gazing somewhere else. Most men who are in love tend to close their eyes when kissing their wives’ hands, but Prince Charles seemed distant.

The Prince and Princess of Wales tied the knot in 1981 after dating each other for a few months. Experts revealed that the royal couple was not really in love at that time but they felt compelled to marry each other.

Prince Charles and Princess Diana both wanted to back out from their wedding hours before it commenced. However, they were talked out of it.
