Princess Diana Did This Parenting Move For William, Harry No Royal Has Done
Princess Diana reportedly did an unprecedented move when it comes to her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
In the ITV documentary “Harry at Thirty,” royal correspondent Ingrid Seward said that Princess Diana was the first member of the royal family to not have shrouded herself behind a nanny. Even though she was part of the prestigious British clan, the Princess of Wales wanted to take her sons to school.
“She was the first young royal to be that informal and to include her children in so much of her own life and allow them to be photographed so much. Maybe she shouldn’t have because now they hate being photographed,” she said.
Several years later, Prince William and Kate Middleton have followed in Princess Diana’s footsteps of living their lives as normal as possible. They have also used the same approach in raising their three children.
In the past, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge revealed that they do a lot of things without the help of their household staff. They cook their own meals, binge-watch television shows, and play outdoors with their children.
Middleton and Prince William have also made it a point that their children won’t be photographed by the paparazzi. And in order to make sure that the press would still have photos of their kids to use for their stories, Middleton takes her children’s own photographs and she releases them via their official social media accounts.
Other than this, Prince William has also changed his children’s diapers at least once. He has also woken up in the middle of the night to feed his children. Prince William has also taken his two older children to school, and he’s always on hand for their baths and naps.
Prince Harry, who just became a dad on May 6, also said that he wants to live a relatively normal life despite his royal status.
“I am determined to have a relatively normal life. If I’m lucky enough to have children, they can have one too,” he said.
