Princess Diana ‘Distant’ From Sons Princes William, Harry In These Throwback Photos

Princess Diana appears distant from her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, in some throwback photos recently shared online.

In 1990, the Princess of Wales attended The Blitz Remembered Service at St. Paul Cathedral London with her two sons. Princess Diana looked gorgeous in her purple outfit with matching hat. She also brought a purple clutch bag that complemented her outfit. On the other hand, Prince William and Prince Harry looked dapper in their matching black suits with a red tie.

In a series of snaps, Princess Diana could be seen smiling, but there’s an apparent distance between her and the boys. In another shot, they walk together, with Princess Diana touching Prince Harry’s back. Prince William and Prince Harry are always close together in the photos.

But Princess Diana had been a hands-on mom to her two boys, so the netizens didn’t mind the distance.

“Look at that regal mummy and her handsome, well behaved little Princss,” the user commented on the photos.

Meanwhile, others notice Princess Diana’s outfit more.

There were also instances when Prince Charles appeared distant in family photos. In their Christmas Card in 1988, Prince William and Prince Harry can be seen twinning in a striped blue shirt with collar, khaki pants and burgundy shoes. The two boys are standing in a fence with Princess Diana standing behind them, supporting them. Meanwhile, Prince Charles is awkwardly distant from the three.

The netizens immediately noticed Prince Charles’ distance from his wife and kids. One online user commented and wrote, “body language tells a story.” Another pointed out how the photo features Princess Diana being with her kids and Prince Charles being alone and on his own.

Meanwhile, some still find the family photo “lovely” as all of them are smiling at the camera except for Prince Harry who was still so little and seemed to be struggling with his position.

An unearthed video featuring the family of four was also shared on Instagram. In the clip, Prince Charles and Princess Diana asked Prince Harry to stop sucking his thumb and the tot complied when his mom lovingly encouraged him to do so.
