Princess Diana Linked To Woman Who Claims She’s Princess Of Wales’ Aunt
Princess Diana is being linked to a woman who claims that she is the aunt of the late Princess of Wales.
Ann Ukrainetz, a California resident, said she believes that she is the legitimate daughter Maurice Burke Roche, 4th Baron Fermoy, and the grandfather of Princess Diana. Ukrainetz wants Roche’s twin brother Francis’ remains to be dug up and his DNA to be tested to prove their alleged connection.
While speaking with Daily Mail, the 75-year-old said that she has been looking for answers about her real identity.
“I am their flesh and blood, why can’t they accept me? They accepted Meghan who is a divorcee,” she said.
Ukrainetz went on to say that the royals have gone a long way in accepting other people into their clan, so she hopes the same thing will be done to her.
“Ultimately, this will give me the answers I’ve been looking for, for over 20 years now. Can you imagine, 20 years trying to fight this battle of who I am?” she said.
Ukrainetz was born Ann Rudderforth in Kings Lynn, England, on Nov. 22, 1943. Her mom was Evelyn, an actress at a local theater company. The 75-year-old said that she believes Roche first saw her mom on stage, and they fell in love.
Growing up, Ukrainetz remembered regular Friday visits from an insurance man, who she later realized was Roche.
“He was introduced to me as an insurance man and he would come quite often on a Friday and we would have to get all dolled up. My grandmother would take a walk because she lived with my mom and dad – she was bombed out during the war – and I would sit on his knee,” she recalled.
Ukrainetz said that as she got older, she thought it was weird to be bouncing up and down on a man’s lap when he’s the insurance man.
“But it seemed that my mom and he had a very close relationship and so I felt it was OK. He would always bring some little toy,” she added.
On one of her birthdays, Roche gifted her with a bicycle, and she loved it.
