Princess Diana Would Be ‘Disruptive’ If Alive Today For This Shocking Reason
Princess Diana would reportedly be disruptive if she were still alive today, says the CEO of the Diana Award charity.
Tessy Ojo, who is also a close friend of the royal family, told Yahoo’s “The Royal Box” that the later Princess of Wales would champion anything that was unpopular in the world today.
“Whatever she would be doing today, she would be doing something disruptive. It would be something that challenges the general opinion of people and something that moves the dial for children and young people,” she said (via Daily Star).
Princess Diana passed away in 1997 following a fatal car crash in Paris. However, the mom of two’s legacy continues to live on through her sons Prince William and Prince Harry.
When she was still alive, Princess Diana was never afraid to break taboos and was famously pictured shaking the hands of an AIDS patient without wearing gloves. Prince Harry followed in his mom’s footsteps of advocating for AIDS and HIV.
Earlier this week, the Duke of Sussex recorded an educational video in honor of the National HIV Testing Week and urged everyone to get tested.
“There is still so much stigma, which is stopping so many of us from getting a simple, quick, and easy test. Taking the HIV test is something to be proud of, not something to be ashamed or embarrassed about. Two years ago, I took a test and the whole process was actually really easy. The result came back within just a few minutes,” he said (via Entertainment Tonight).
In related news, Princess Diana also made headlines this week after her furious confrontation with Camilla Parker Bowles many years ago was revisited. In Jessica Jayne’s explosive tell-all book “The Duchess of Cornwall: Camilla’s Story and Secrets,” it was revealed that Prince Charles and Camilla once disappeared during a party, and Princess Diana looked for them. Even though the Princess of Wales was terrified of Camilla, she decided to confront her.
“And they shot upstairs like chickens with no heads,” the author wrote (via Express).
“I could feel, upstairs, all hell breaking loose – ‘What is she going to do?’” Princess Diana said.
