Princess Diana never got the chance to meet her daughters-in-law, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle. But royal fans are convinced that she would have been proud of her sons for the women that they chose to marry.

On the online forum site Quora, Jade Worthington, a social worker by profession, said that Princess Diana would have thought highly of the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex. She would have also been that her sons chose to be with intelligent women.

Worthington also said that the late Princess of Wales would have been delighted with the fact that Prince William and Prince Harry are really in love with their wives. After all, Prince Charles wasn’t madly in love with Princess Diana when they tied the knot.

“Neither of Diana’s sons were in love with other women when they married their brides. Their hearts lay entirely with the women they married… They managed to be true to themselves within the confines of their circumstances,” she said.

Johanne Morin said that Princess Diana would have been very fond of her daughters-in-law if only she had the chance to meet them.

“Her own marriage wasn’t a happy one, unfortunately, so I imagine that her priority would be that her sons don’t experience the same thing. The fact that both her sons are married to women they love and who love them in return, women who make both her sons happy, that would be her greatest joy,” she said.

Melissa Marshall said that Princess Diana would be thrilled with Prince William’s choice of wife because he and Middleton had a very long courtship before marrying each other and settling down.

But Marshall thinks that Princess Diana would be worried about Prince Harry and Markle because just like her and Prince Charles, they tied the knot only after a short while of dating each other. Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ marriage ended up in a divorce 15 years after they tied the knot.
