Princess Diana's niece Lady Kitty Spencer is married!
The 30-year-old niece of the late Princess of Wales wed 62-year-old millionaire fashion businessman Michael Lewis in front of their family and friends in a grand ceremony over the weekend at Villa Aldobrandini in Frascati, Italy, People reported.
The couple's union comes more than a year after they got engaged and after two years of dating.
Spencer's brothers Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, and Samuel Aitken walked her down the aisle, according to Daily Mail.
Her twin sisters Eliza and Amelia as well as Viscountess Emma Weymouth and her husband Ceawlin Thynn, the Marquess of Bath, were in attendance. Pop star Pixie Lott, Idris Elba's wife Sabrina, and "Made In Chelsea" star Mark Vandelli were also present to witness their nuptials.
It is not clear if members of the British royal family attended the ceremony. Her royal cousins Prince William and Prince Harry were not spotted at the event. However, she was present at the two brothers' respective royal weddings.
For their big day, Spencer walked down the aisle in an intricate Dolce and Gabanna gown. The lace-adorned wedding gown featured dramatic puffed sleeves, a high neck collar, a corset-like bodice and billowing bottom half. She completed her look with a floor-length veil, natural makeup and an elegant updo.
The luxury fashion house shared on Instagram a behind-the-scenes look at how the gown was made.
News of Spencer's engagement to Lewis made headlines in January 2020. In February of the same year, The Times of London reported that she was converting to Judaism before marrying the fashion tycoon.
The couple kept their relationship low-key. In an interview with Town and County in May, Spencer explained why she doesn't want to discuss her romantic life with the public.
"I feel less vulnerable when I don’t discuss things like my love life," she told the outlet.
"I just think, ‘Really, what’s that got to do with anyone else?’ It shouldn’t make a difference to anyone’s day. Who I love or don’t love, or have a crush on or don’t have a crush on, or go on a date with, I don’t know why that should be what somebody reads over their cornflakes. As long as I keep it sacred, then it can remain so. As soon as I don’t, I don’t think you can get it back."
This is the second marriage for the South African fashion mogul.
