Princess Diana's Nieces Are All Grown Up And Are Socialites
Princess Diana’s nieces are all grown up and are now socialites. The Spencer sisters, whose dad is Diana’s brother, estate owner and writer Earl Spencer have been establishing a higher profile recently on social media. The trio includes Lady Kitty, 25, and 23-year-old twins Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia. Their younger brother Louis, Viscount Althorp, 21, is a student at Edinburgh University in Scotland.
The three young women shared the spotlight at their cousin Prince William’s royal wedding to Kate Middleton in 2011. They turned heads with their spectacular fascinators. They are the kids of Charles Spencer and his first wife, Victoria Lockwood. Their mother is a former model who is now a psychologist and addiction counselor in Cape Town, South Africa.
Kitty holidayed in Australia, Italy and the resorts of Ibiza and St. Tropez last year and served as a bridesmaid in South Africa over the New Year. She has been linked to Australian weather reporter James Tobin, 35. The socialite keeps her fans and followers updated about her life on Instagram.
She also does charity work and is an ambassador for Give Us Time, which helps military families re-connect after deployment by providing getaways donated by supporters. Twins Amelia and Eliza are attending college in Cape Town. They were raised in the city following their parents’ infamous divorce in 1997.
In October, Kitty made headlines when she said that she is happy for the family’s famous Althorp estate in Northamptonshire to be left to her younger brother Louis. Kitty is the eldest child of Diana’s brother Earl Spencer. In an interview in the December issue of Tatler magazine, of which she is a cover girl, she said she believes that primogeniture (the right by law or custom of the first-born male child to inherit the family estate) is the “correct way.”
The 24-year-old agreed that Althorp House should bypass her and her two younger sisters. The youngster added that her brother Louis would do an impeccable job. As per tradition, the first-born male child will inherit the property. The estate is the same place when Diana, Princess of Wales lived and is buried.
The four oldest Spencer children also have four siblings from Charles’ second and third marriage. While Edmund, 12, and Lady Lara, 9, are from his second wife Caroline Freud, 3-year-old Lady Charlotte Diana, is the daughter of Earl Spencer and his third wife, Canadian philanthropist Karen Gordon.
