Princess Diana’s rare photos with her sons Prince William and Prince Harry inside the Kensington Palace have just been released.

To commemorate the Princess of Wales’ death anniversary on Aug. 31, her pictures were compiled online by Hello! In one of the snaps, Princess Diana is wearing a red jacket, white long-sleeved blouse, and black skirt. She is leaning down on a young Prince William who is sitting on a wooden chair.

The photo was taken in 1985 when Prince William was just 3 years old. The adorable toddler is in his checkered polo shirt and navy-blue shorts while playing with a puzzle.

In another photo, Prince William is joined by his younger brother, Prince Harry, inside the playroom. The future king is sitting on a white wooden rocking horse, while Prince Harry is on a smaller wooden horse. The siblings are wearing matching polo shirts, but Prince William is in shorts and Prince Harry is in his jumper.

Other than their photos in Kensington Palace, Princess Diana also bonded with her sons at the Highgrove House. In their group photo, the Princess of Wales is wearing a white and pink ensemble. Her children, aged 3 and 1, are clad in their military attire.

Princess Diana pushes Prince Harry down a blue slide, while Prince William waits so he could catch him. The siblings had huge smiles on their faces in the photo.

The mom of two passed away on Aug. 31, 1997, following a fatal car crash in Paris, France. That time, Princess Diana was with her boyfriend, Dodi Al Fayed, who also died in the accident.

Recent reports revealed that Prince William and Prince Harry blamed the paparazzi for their mom’s demise. However, it was Princess Diana’s driver Henri Paul that lost control of the Mercedes S280 that he was driving.

Ken Wharfe, Princess Diana’s former bodyguard, said, “From my experience of working with Diana for nine years, every foreign holiday we went on, it wasn’t the odd paparazzi that would turn up. We’re talking 60 to 70 journalists. It’s in their interest to keep Diana alive and any other member of the royal family. It’s their bread and butter.”
