Princess Eugenie celebrated her mom Sarah Ferguson on social media on her special day.
The Duchess of York turned 63 on Saturday, and her youngest daughter Princess Eugenie, 32, took to Instagram to share a series of photos of her mother to mark the occasion.
"Half an hour left to go of October 15th, 2022, but better late than never. Happy birthday, my dear mumsy!" Princess Eugenie wrote in the caption, adding heart and kiss emojis.
The photos showed the mother and daughter duo on various outdoor excursions, with some of the snaps also featuring Ferguson's oldest daughter Princess Beatrice and Eugenie's husband Jack Brooksbank.
One snap shows Princess Eugenie posing with her mother as she holds August, the son she shares with Brooksbank. The family is also joined by two of Ferguson's Norfolk terriers.
Many of Princess Eugenie's followers praised the photos and took the opportunity to wish Ferguson a happy birthday.
"My first thought was how normal and refreshing. Thanks for no filters and for showing how it really is. Beautiful," one commented.
"Congratulations, Her Royal Highness Sarah Duchess of York, may it be a year of many accomplishments, I love you," another wrote.
"Happy birthday, Fergie, from the U.S.A. You've always been a favorite of mine and still," a third person added.
Ferguson also marked her birthday by sharing on her Instagram account snaps of herself playing with the late Queen Elizabeth's corgis, whom she adopted after the monarch's passing in September at age 96.
In the caption, she wrote, "The presents that keep giving."
Instagram users flooded Ferguson's post with warm birthday greetings. Many of them also said they were happy to see the late Queen's corgis with her.
"Happy birthday, Duchess. So glad can see the Queen's corgis with you," one commented.
Another added, "I love that you have these two beautiful friends. They must miss their beloved owner. Our darling Queen would be so pleased to see them both happy and loved."
"I hope they're doing OK, thank you for sharing the picture of them with us," a third user wrote.
Ferguson was married to the Queen's second son Prince Andrew from 1986 to 1992. They remained amicable following their divorce.
The duchess, who attended Queen Elizabeth's state funeral and committal service on Sept. 19, had nothing but praise for her former mother-in-law during an appearance at the Henley Literary Festival earlier this month, according to The Telegraph.
"It's been all my life that I've known the boss and there's no one like her," Ferguson said. "I wouldn't do anything unless the boss gave me her blessing though, and still to this day, I think about that."
When asked to name any woman who inspired the characters in her novel, "Her Heart for a Compass," a coming-of-age story about her ancestor Lady Margaret Montagu Douglas Scott, Ferguson didn't think twice before naming the Queen.
"There's no question about it, mine is my mother-in-law," the author said. "I've been the luckiest person alive. I have, there's no question."
