Princess Eugenie Won’t Slash 850 Guests Despite Chapel Only Seating 800
Princess Eugenie’s 850 guests won’t need to be slashed even though St. George’s Chapel can only accommodate 800 people.
James Brookes, a royal expert, said that it is highly likely for Princess Eugenie to have arranged accommodations for the royal wedding.
“I would have thought that Eugenie won’t invite more people than can be seated comfortably in the chapel. Of course, seating for 800 is much bigger than the typical wedding and given this one isn’t going to be as big as Harry and Meghan’s – plus there’s no need for inviting dignitaries either – I would have thought everyone she wants to be there will have a seat,” he told Express.
Brookes said that the 850 guests, if they will all attend, will be able to watch Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank exchange their “I do’s” comfortably.
But another source told the Daily Mail a few days ago that Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank hope that not all of the people they invited will be able to make it.
“The wedding itself is going to be huge and they are hoping quite a few of the people they’ve invited won’t be able to come because of the capacity issue,” the source said.
In related news, Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal commentator, also noted the fact that Princess Eugenie’s guest list is 50 people more than what the chapel can accommodate. But regardless if this will become an issue or not, he said that Princess Eugenie will have a star-studded guest list.
“The number of famous figures at Harry and Meghan’s wedding was phenomenal. It was a truly amazing list, from the Beckhams and Oprah Winfrey to the Clooneys and Serena Williams. Rumors about that the Clooneys might attend Eugenie and Jack’s wedding… The Beckhams are also thought likely to attend, as is Robbie Williams, and Tracey Emin. Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss have also been mentioned,” he told Express.
