Brandon Leibel
Co-founder and CEO of Sand Cloud
Brandon Leibel serves as the CEO and one of the co-founders of Sand Cloud. It is a company dedicated to making beach towels and other eco-friendly accessories and empowering others to care about marine conservation through its advocacy.
As a staunch marine activist, Leibel observed that today’s younger generations tend to buy products from companies that share their same philanthropic passions. And so, he used this to support his advocacy, launching a socially conscious company that provides sustainable products and raises awareness for marine conservation.
That company is Sand Cloud, which aims to make a difference. Staying true to its core values, it donates 10% of its profits to marine life organizations. It has also partnered with groups like the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, Marine Conservation Institute and Surfrider Foundation to support preserving beaches, oceans and marine life.
Additionally, it has created a network of over 250,000 ambassadors that help promote not only the company’s products but also ocean protection. These same ambassadors meet up with co-founders to conduct monthly clean-up events in different areas.
Leibel graduated from San Diego State University. He and Sand Cloud co-founder Steven Ford have also been included in the 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30.
