‘Project Runway' Season 15 Predictions: Cornelius Ortiz To Be Sent Home?

“Project Runway” Season 15 is close to naming a winner, but it may not be Cornelius Ortiz.

Over the past couple of weeks, the talented designer has been safe from elimination. However, he failed to impress the judges and received his lowest score this season on week five. Last week, he dropped to the bottom two with Mah-Jing Wong. The latter has been in the bottom two for several weeks now, but has managed to survive all eliminations. With this, Gold Derby predicted that Ortiz’s fate has already been sealed since he’s up against Wong this week.

In addition to his impressive works at the beginning of the competition, Ortiz also left an impact on viewers for his bold attitude. There are rumors that judges’ favorite Erin Robertson could win this season, but Ortiz has made it a point to antagonize her with his questions and attitude.

Robertson has received consistently high scores from the judges over the past couple of weeks. In the first five challenges, Robertson received four out of five highest scores and won two weeks straight. However, the professional designer didn’t perform very well in the sixth and seventh tasks. Robertson received back-to-back low scores, which resulted in her slipping to the bottom of the pack.

As Robertson struggled in the competition, Laurence Basse slowly took over her spot. She and Dexter Simmons are the only two designers to have never received the lowest scores from the judges.

“Project Runway” Season 15's resident judges include Heidi Klum, Zac Posen, Nina Garcia, Tim Gunn and Michael Kors. Guest judges this season include “The Vampire Diaries” alum Nina Dobrev, “Quantico” actress Priyanka Chopra, “Project Runway Junior” judge Kelly Osbourne, “Girl Meets World” star Sabrina Carpenter, “Hart of Dixie” alum Jaime King and more.

“Project Runway” Season 15, episode 8 will air on Lifetime on Nov. 3 at 9 p.m. ET.
