'Prometheus 2': Director Ridely Scott Starts Looking For Locations
Ridley Scott has confirmed that he is all set to direct a sequel to the 2012 sci-fi film “Prometheus,” “Prometheus 2.”
While speaking to Empire about his upcoming film “The Martain” the director said, “I was already on to my next movie! I was starting to look for locations for my next movie, which is Prometheus 2.”
There have been rumors about “Prometheus 2” for a while, and now that the confirmation has come from the horse’s mouth, the fans will not have to wait much before they get to experience another space ship adventure.
The plot details of the film are being kept under the wraps. However, if Scott’s previous statement to The Australian (via Cinema Blend) is anything to go by, it may feature a new extraterritorial creature.
“The alien’s real which is why it’s probably one of the scariest monsters in film history. So with Prometheus 2 what I’m trying to do is reintroduce a fresher form of alien in the third act,” Scott said.
It was also previously reported by Bloody Disgusting that Scott has been pushing 20th century Fox to release “Prometheus 2” before Neill Blomkamp‘s “Alien." A source had told the website that Scott wants "Prometheus 2” to go in production before “Alien.”
“Prometheus” was a box office success, and made $403.4 million worldwide. The film was praised for its visual aesthetic design. It was written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Linfelof. The cast of the film includes Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron. Fassbender played the role of android David and was praised for his performance.
