  • Amazon UK may have spoiled what titles will be available when the PlayStation 5 launches later this year
  • Titles from 2k, Konami, and Koch are included as was the case with Rockstar until that title was taken down
  • Rumors of a new "Grand Theft Auto" or "Silent Hill" game coinciding with the PS5 launch have been spreading before

Did Amazon accidentally reveal the names of upcoming PlayStation 5 titles on its online store?

With the scheduled PS5 reveal event from last week moved to June 11, curiosity about the next-generation console’s look and gameplay has been rising. To date though, speculation over what titles will appear during the PS5’s actual launch during this year’s holiday season has been vague.

Amazon may have just spoiled the identity of some of those titles with a listing on its online store. Some games are already available to be pre-ordered on the Amazon UK online store, but a few more untitled games have been listed on the same website. Games from Konami, 2K, and Koch can still be accessed, according to Wario64 on Twitter. A Rockstar game was also listed but has since been taken down, as reported by Screenrant.

The Koch game is listed at £59.99, while the other two games are listed at £69.99, which could mean a substantial price increase for games for the PS5 assuming this will be the standard price.

On the actual identity of the games, early speculation from Screenrant has many guessing that these include games in the “Grand Theft Auto” and “Silent Hill” series. The Rockstar game, in particular, could be a port of “Grand Theft Auto V,” although if “Grand Theft Auto VI” is indeed near completion as rumor would have it, that would be big news for Sony to announce that together with other PS5 news.

The first “Grand Theft Auto” launched in 1997 on the PlayStation, PC, and Game Boy Color. The action-adventure series, infamous for its adult nature and violent themes, is the fourth-highest selling video game franchise of all time and is among Britain’s most successful exports.

There have been long-standing rumors that Kojima Productions and Sony have been working on a new “Silent Hill” game. The memorable survival horror franchise created by Keiichiro Toyama first debuted on the original PlayStation in 1999.

"Silent Hill" was the first game that helped define the survival horror video game genre with its psychological style of emphasizing the atmosphere. It spawned several more across multiple platforms, as well as two feature films. Though Konami has been denying a new “Silent Hill” title, even a teaser trailer reveal at the PS5 event would be huge.

With the PS5 event set in just a few hours, it’s only a matter of time before this rumor proves true or not.
