What To Expect From Obama's Penultimate State Of The Union
President Barack Obama will deliver his second-to-last State of the Union address Tuesday, and it's especially significant as an indicator of key issues for debate in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election. Obama is expected to discuss income inequality -- presumbaly mentioning recent economic initiatives such as free community college and a tax increase for the wealthy -- and the Ebola outbreak, the Associated Press reported. The White House has already released some "spoilers" ahead of the address. For example, some of the guests to be seated in the first lady's box include Alan Gross, the ex-Cuban prisoner who was released the same day Obama announced new diplomatic policies with Cuba; Scott Kelly, the NASA astronaut who will spend a year aboard the International Space Station; and Dr. Pranav Shett, the global emergency health coordinator for International Medical Corps, who helped oversee Ebola treatment in Liberia.
Jury Selection In Aurora Theater Shooting Trial Begins

The attorneys will screen 9,000 potential jurors in a process that could last several months.
Barbecue, Pie And Lady Antebellum For Texas Governor Greg Abbott
Texas Governor Greg Abbott is being sworn in Tuesday and the ceremony has drawn plenty of attention as residents look ahead to how the staunch conservative -- he likes to point out that he’s filed 30 lawsuits against “Barack Obama,” never "President Obama" -- will govern. The 10,000 attendees will be treated to four tons of brisket, 1,700 pies and a Lady Antebellum concert, Bloomberg reported. The affair is estimated to cost $4 million.
