Pumpkin Shannon Pays Tribute To Sister Alana, Daughter Ella On National Daughters Day

Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon celebrated National Daughters Day by paying tribute to her own daughter, Ella Grace Efird, and her younger sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, on the special day.

On Saturday, the 21-year-old reality star took to Instagram to share a series of photos featuring her 3-year-old child and her 16-year-old sibling. In the first snap, Ella was seen smiling while donning a black and white striped dress and rocking high pigtails. Another snap showed Alana flashing a big smile while posing in front of their main door.

“Happy national daughters day to the two that drive me up the wall [face with tears of joy emoji and red heart emoji]. Ella Grace you made me a mommy and I’ll forever be grateful I was able to give you life,” Pumpkin wrote at the start of her caption.

The reality star continued, “Alana you’re my sister but after taking care of you and basically having to be mom and sister this day counts for you [too].”

According to Pumpkin, Ella and Alana have “personalities” that light up her world. She promised them that she would always support them no matter what. “You both can conquer the world look at y’all,” she concluded her message for them.

Fans were pleased to see Pumpkin giving a shoutout to Alana on the holiday since she has been her legal guardian for more than two years now.

“Precious! I admire you for standing up and taking care of your sister,” wrote one fan in the comments.

“You are a great mom and are awesome to include [Alana],” another added.

“You are MOM-HERO-SUPERWOMAN! Alana and Ella Grace are so fortunate to have you as their role model,” a third user commented.

Lauryn has been taking care of her sister ever since Mama June left them in March 2019 to be with her then-boyfriend Geno Doak. Mama June is already back in their lives, but Pumpkin still has custody over Alana as of late.

Aside from Ella and Alana, Pumpkin also takes care of her newest bundle of joy, Bentley Jameson, who turned two months old last week. To celebrate the milestone, the proud mom shared adorable photos of her son wearing an apple-adorned onesie and a blue bib with printed dolphins.

“Our sweet boy is 2 months today. [Two] months of waking up at 2 a.m., giving him all the loves, [and] watching him grow up [quickly] all over again, but I’d do it a million times over,” Pumpkin, who shares her two kids with 25-year-old husband Josh Efird, captioned the post.
