pureLiFi is at Mobile World Congress 2022 in Barcelona to showcase LiFi and its implications for more reliable wireless communications.

LiFi, short for light fidelity, is a form of wireless communication that utilizes light rather than radio frequencies, such as WiFi and 5G. LiFi aims to solve the well-known restrictions of traditional wireless, such as buffering and vulnerable signals, and provides the same quality of connection everywhere. It has applications in health care, aviation, advertising, industrial automation, and so much more.

pureLiFi initiated a $4.2 million deal with the U.S. Army in early 2021 to provide the military with an optical wireless communication system. CEO Alistair Banham described the agreement as “just the beginning,” as reported by the BBC.

"Li-fi, like so many technologies before it, is on a classic journey of adoption in defense to widespread acceptance in the consumer market and eventually li-fi in everyone's home,” Banham said.

LiFi also strives to allow the mobile industry to thrive in the metaverse with "faster speeds, unprecedented quality of service, bandwidth, ultra-low latency, and wireless communications free of congested spectrum."

pureLiFi's message for MWC 2022 is to emphasize "Connectivity Unleashed," considering realms that surpass radio frequencies and using LiFi connectivity that transforms how people connect everywhere.
