Alex (Priyanka Chopra) is finally going to get out of the city in “Quantico.” Alex will visit Simon (Tate Ellington) for the first time since the second bombing in Season 1, episode 14. But she’ll quickly learn that Simon hasn’t been doing much better than she has.

“Simon grapples with his new reality in the aftermath of what’s transpired,” the episode 14 synopsis reveals. “Even though his friends try and help him, it’s uncertain he will ever be the same again.”

Alex will be able to relate to Simon being used by terrorists against his will, but she'll need to find some time alone with him to explain that. Photos show her visiting with Raina (Yasmine Al Massri) and Ryan (Jake McLaughlin), and it isn’t clear if the terrorists will be able to reach her in the mountains.

In the trailer for episode 14, titled “Answer,” Simon doesn’t seem happy to see her. But executive producer Joshua Safran hinted that he’ll open up to her eventually. “It is an incredibly tense episode in which Alex and a certain somebody else involved in the terrorism angle of our story meet up and spend the entire episode discussing what has happened, how they’ve been used, how it's affected them, and it goes to some pretty dark places,” Safran told Entertainment Weekly

Meanwhile, the present-day storyline will focus more on the new characters. “At Quantico, the NATs team up for defensive driving lessons, while tensions between Liam [Josh Hopkins] and Drew [Lenny Platt] explode, resulting in shocking admissions and consequences,” the synopsis teases.

In episode 13, Drew revealed that he joined the FBI was because his girlfriend died in a police shootout. All of the law enforcement agencies involved blamed each other, so Drew went into law enforcement to fix the system. But when Alex researched the shooting, she saw a picture of Liam. He and Ryan have referenced a bad situation in Chicago several times. Does Drew already know that one of his teachers was involved in the death of his girlfriend?

“Quantico” Season 1, episode 14 airs Sunday, March 20, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
