‘Quantico’ Season 2 Spoilers: Episode 3 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In ‘Stescalade’? [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

If you can’t beat them, join them. That’s the approach Alex will take in “Quantico” Season 2, episode 3. After being told the FBI needs a head count in the last installment, Alex left the NYPD bunker and went back out into hostile territory. She’ll find a way to blend in, though.

“Alex goes undercover to infiltrate the terrorist group holding everyone hostage where she is shocked to discover not everyone is a stranger,” the ABC synopsis teases. The promo video above reveals that Alex (Priyanka Chopra) steals one of the terrorist disguises. Also, it looks like Jeremy (David Call) wasn’t the only former classmate that joined the bad guys. Who will it be this time?

In the present day, the future spies are still learning. “The new CIA recruits continue training at The Farm focusing on assessment,” the summary says. That’s not much information to go on, and the photos below don’t help either. However, the episode title might give a hint about what they’re up to.

Episode 3 is called “Stescalade,” and, as previously reported, all the episode titles in Season 2 are CIA cryptonyms that relate to the episode. The code word refers to the attempted bugging of a news agency in Havana, Cuba, in 1960. Will the recruits be learning how to secretly eavesdrop? That might make Alex and Ryan’s (Jake McLaughlin) relationship even more difficult.

It seems like Harry (Russell Tovey) could be the one who learns about Alex and Ryan’s history first. Showrunner Joshua Safran teased that the sneaky agent will make a discovery related to the couple. “You will get to know a lot more about Dayana [Pearl Thusi], Léon [Aaron Diaz], and Harry, and at the same time, Harry gets to know a little bit more about Alex and Ryan,” Safran told Entertainment Weekly. “Also, we introduce a new recruit in episode three, which is fun to see.”

Audiences will have to wait, though. The second presidential debate will be held on Oct. 9, so “Quantico” will be delayed for a week.
