Queen Elizabeth II ‘Trolls’ President Donald Trump By Doing This During Meeting

Queen Elizabeth II is rumored to have trolled President Donald Trump during their first meeting last week by wearing a brooch that was given to her by former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.

Royal fans were quick to say that the Queen purposely wore the brooch to signify her loyalty and support to the Obamas and not necessarily the Trumps. Others also said that wearing the accessory was done by the monarch intentionally.

“Nice way to get in a dig again without having to say a word,” one critic wrote.

Another Twitter user claimed that it is typical for the Queen to wear jewelry that was given to her by the heads of the state. However, out of all of the jewelry she has received, she opted to go for the one that came from the Obamas. The brooch featured a small flower in green color.

“She chose this one. This one was purchased out of pocket by Michelle and Barack Obama and given to her as a personal gift. The US has given QE jewelry before over the years and I bet her dresser could put hands on any and all of it given five minutes. But she chose the most sentimental piece in the collection, the one that was given OUT OF FRIENDSHIP WITH THE OBAMAS AS PEOPLE,” another person tweeted.

In related news, the 92-year-old monarch was also photographed wearing a sapphire jubilee brooch that was given to her by Canada. Throughout the past couple of months, Trump has been criticizing Canada despite the fact that the country is one of the United Kingdom’s strongest allies.

However, not everyone is convinced that the Queen trolled Trump purposely. Victoria Arbiter, a royal commentator, said that her brooches weren’t meant to have political undertones.

“I find this an incredible stretch to think that the Queen is trolling Donald Trump when her sole purpose is to show him the ultimate royal hospitality. She’s far too wise and astute and experienced to do something like that,” she said.

Arbiter added that the brooches simply made her outfits look better that’s why she wore them.
