Queen Elizabeth II Wears Red During Last Few Days In Balmoral
Queen Elizabeth II is enjoying her last few days in Balmoral.
Her Majesty was photographed in a red ensemble on her way to church in the private estate. The Queen also wore black gloves to keep her hands warm because the weather forecast on Sunday predicted freezing temperatures.
Steven Keates, a meteorologist, told Express, “There has been a massive drop in the temperature. This is typical of autumn where we can experience a big change in fortunes from one day to the next. It has almost from summer to winter in the space of 24 hours.”
The monarch also wore a fur border on her red hat that made her look even more regal. The sighting took place while she was on her way to church in Balmoral and while riding a car. Lady Sarah Chatto was also photographed sitting beside her in the vehicle.
According to Daily Mail, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles also joined the Queen to church on Sunday. The future king drove his own car, while Bowles sat in the passenger seat.
Jo Tweedy, a journalist for the publication, said that the Queen’s appearance in Balmoral this past weekend may be the last time she will be seen in the estate during her summer break. Her Majesty’s vacation is almost over, and she’s expected to return to her royal duties sometime this month.
But the Queen will return to London before Oct. 12 to attend Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Her Majesty reportedly has a close relationship with her granddaughter so she won’t be skipping her special day.
Marcia Moody, a journalist for Town & Country, said that Princess Eugenie and the Queen get along well with each other. Even though she’s not a working royal, she still sees to it that she does the Queen proud with her personal engagements. Princess Eugenie also spends an ample amount of time with her 92-year-old grandmother.
