Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s photo from Princess Anne’s christening in 1950 has just been unearthed.
In the snap, Her Majesty is cradling Princess Anne in her arms. The Queen is wearing a floral lavender coat and skirt, which she accentuated with a turban, a brooch, and her pearl necklace.
The monarch also has a beautiful smile on her face while hugging her only daughter. Princess Anne, on the other hand, is wearing her christening attire. Her hand is also touching her mom’s bosom.
Sitting beside the Queen and Princess Anne is Prince Philip, who looks dapper in his suit. The Duke of Edinburgh’s hands are clasped together, and he is looking straight into the camera.
The retired royal looks as though he’s flirting with the camera since he has a smirk on his face, and he is also squinting his eyes a little bit.
Some royal fans took notice of Prince Philip’s handsome-looking appearance, as well as the Queen’s beauty.
“Prince Philip is so handsome,” Instagram user @spicylipsx said.
“So handsome,” Instagram user @aleyna_galery said.
“Aww beautiful photo,” Instagram user @9693bajanqueen said.
“They both are pretty yet their children are ugly,” Instagram user @memelover2404 said.
Meanwhile, the Queen and Prince Philip also made headlines recently after it was revealed that the former would soon depart Sandringham and leave the latter.
Following the royal family’s Christmas break, the Queen will be staying in Sandringham until February 6. After commemorating the death of her father, King George VI, Her Majesty would return to London to fulfill her royal duties and engagements.
This means that Prince Philip will be all alone in Sandringham. The Duke of Edinburgh recently made his fans worry after the palace announced that he was rushed to the hospital to seek treatment for a pre-existing condition.
Four days later, the palace revealed that Prince Philip’s surgery was successful, and he has also returned to Sandringham just in time for the royal family’s Christmas celebration.
