Queen Elizabeth II made a surprising pose while twinning with Kate Middleton.

The monarch is often photographed, but she is rarely seen striking a pose that many might consider “unroyal.” According to Angela Kelly in her book “In the Other Side of the Coin: The Queen,” the monarch had a “secret wish.” She wanted to be photographed informally, HOLA! reported.

A new photo of the Queen wearing a dress by Kelly has resurfaced. In the snap, she puts her two hands inside her pockets and is all smiles while not looking at the camera.

Her Majesty is very stunning in her ensemble. She also wears a multi-strand pearl necklace and a pair of pearl earrings. She pairs her white ensemble with black heels.

Kelly shared how they ended up with the said photo. According to her, she asked the Queen to make sure if the monarch really wanted to strike the said pose.

“The Queen looked at me in amazement as I asked whether she knew the potential implications of the photographs. She didn’t take long to answer: yes, she would do it and, yes, she was sure,” Kelly said.

“Her Majesty took her position in front of the lens and started striking a series of poses, slipping her hands in and out of her pockets and placing them onto her hips, mimicking the stances of a professional model.”

The publication noted that the Queen’s dress in the photo was very similar to Middleton’s Alexander McQueen tweed dress in Sweden. The two royals twinning moments happened at different times. The Duchess of Cambridge was photographed in that dress when she was still expecting Prince Louis.

However, unlike Queen Elizabeth II, the royal mom of three opted to pair her dress with matte stockings and burgundy leather Tod’s pumps with fringes. She also wore a pair of pearl earrings.

According to a recent report, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are Queen Elizabeth II and the public’s first choice as heirs. However, according to royal experts, Prince Charles will still be the next monarch because the succession of throne is not a popularity race and the Queen does not have the power to choose her heir.
