Queen Elizabeth Passing Crown To Prince William, Not Prince Charles, Expert Says
Questions are being asked about what will happen when Queen Elizabeth II is no longer on the throne. It is expected that Prince Charles, the son of Queen Elizabeth II and her heir, will be passed the crown -- but a royal family expert has someone else in mind.
Considering that in her 67 years sitting on the throne, the Queen hasn’t had quite too many tough years, and in fact, since 1992, only 2019 is one that might be marked as a troubling one. With Prince Andrew’s Jeffrey Epstein scandal and the ongoing public distaste for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry that continues to grow, many have felt the Queen should begin evaluating who should take over the throne. The 93-year-old monarch, some experts feel, is perhaps getting too old for the stress and should step down, as reported by Express.
Sherrie Hewson, an actor and broadcaster, suggests that she should pass the crown onto Prince William instead of the next-in-line Prince Charles. She discussed how the Queen has absolutely earned her right to stay there, being a Queen longer than Queen Victoria, and should maintain the crown as long as she feels.
“I think she deserves to be there for as long as she wishes to be there,” Hewson stated. “The time will come, naturally, that she’ll pass it on and I think it will be to Prince William."
It’s been speculated that the second-in-line Prince William is already being prepped for his future role as king, as instructed by Queen Elizabeth II, but the monarch has not officially stepped away from her duties.
As it stands right now and as far as anyone officially knows, Prince William is still the second in line to adopt the throne, after his father, The Prince of Wales.
