Queen Elizabeth II posed with her mom Queen Mother and sister Princess Margaret in a rare, beautiful throwback photo.

The Queen had a close relationship with her mother and sister. This is evident in their photo that has resurfaced online after being shared on Instagram.

In the snap, Queen Mother is seated between Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret. The Queen places a hand on her mom’s lap. Meanwhile, Her Majesty’s sister places a hand over one of the Queen Mother’s hand.

The three royals are all smiles. Queen Elizabeth II looks gorgeous in her red and white polka dot dress. The Queen Mother is regal in her sky blue dress. She accessorized with pearl earrings and multi-strand pearl necklace. On the other hand, Princess Anne is as stunning as her mother and sister in her white outfit.

Royal fans who saw the picture couldn’t help but praised it.

“This pic is marvelous,” one fan wrote.

“So beautiful Queen.beautiful .Mother and so lovely Sister,” a different user.

Meanwhile, one online user commented with “Watching the crown the queen mother was evil.” According to previous reports, the Queen Mother lived a luxurious life. The Queen’s racing manager Lord “Porchy” Carnarvon said that “she buys new outfits like you buy brown eggs.“

When Queen Mother was still alive, she wanted to look wonderful and loved to treat her guests. She would threw “riotous dinner parties” and served them the finest wines. Royal author Katie Nicholl also said that the Queen Mother’s guests’ cars were waxed and polished. Due to Queen Mother’s extreme spending, Queen Elizabeth II had to subsidize her living.

Queen Mother was also often late in getting down for dinner. It got so bad that the Queen had decided to trick her mom, so she would arrive for dinner on time with the rest of the family members.

“Dinner was at 8:30pm in Balmoral when Her Majesty the Queen Mother was in attendance,” former royal chef Darren McGrady revealed. “They used to tell her that dinner was at 8:15, and she’d be the last one down. They told everyone else 8:30 because they knew she’d be late.”
