Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip Celebrate 70th Wedding Anniversary With Photoshoot

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have been together for seven decades already.

On Monday, the monarch and Prince Philip will be celebrating their 70 wedding anniversary. To mark another milestone in their marriage, the royal family released a series of photos on Sunday. In the snaps, the couple was photographed against a platinum-textured backdrop, People reported.

In one photo, both are standing. Queen Elizabeth wears a white dress with a red brooch. She also matched her get up with pearl earrings and necklace. Meanwhile, Prince Philip wears a gray suit with a maroon tie to match the queen's accessory.

In another shot, the queen is seated on a golden chair. Both are all smiles in the portrait. In the third photo, Prince Philip gazed at the monarch while the latter smiles and looks downward.

The publication added that Queen Elizabeth was only a teenager when she fell in love with Prince Philip, a Greek-born Royal Navy officer. They tied the knot on Nov. 20, 19947 at Westminster Abbey where Prince William and Kate Middleton also wed in 2011.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have the longest royal marriage in history. The couple shares the same interest like collecting wildlife arts, grilling with a custom barbecue cart designed by Prince Philip and having picnics in the Scottish heather.

After Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip's platinum anniversary, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may announce their engagement. Although the royal prince and the "Suits" star have not admitted their engagement yet, many believe that they already are and are just waiting for the perfect time to share the news with the public.

"We are confidently expecting an engagement between Harry and Meghan," Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal commentator said. "But it isn't likely to be announced before the Queen and the Duke's Platinum Wedding Anniversary in November."

Markle and Prince Harry are expected to spend Thanksgiving together in Los Angeles with the actress' mom, Doria Radlan. After the celebration, the couple will fly to London and stay together in the royal prince's place. The actress has been reported to move in with her beau after she wraps up her role in "Suits," which she already did. By then, the lovers might make their big announcement.

"While Meghan may not be wearing a ring or a formal engagement announced, it's fair to say they're as good as engaged now," an insider said about Markle and Prince Harry's relationship. "They've spoken about their marriage plans openly with each other and friends and family around them are pretty much thinking about wedding attire already!"
