Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana Baby Bump Photos Revisited Amid Meghan Markle’s Pregnancy
Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana’s baby bump photos have just been revisited amid Meghan Markle’s pregnancy.
In the black and white photo uploaded by People, the Queen is seen touching her growing back bump while pregnant with Prince Charles. The Queen has a stern look on her face while standing beside her younger sister, Princess Margaret.
Princess Margaret also posed for the cameras in 1964 while she was pregnant with Lady Sarah Chatto. And in a more casual look, Princess Anne was also photographed walking on the palace grounds with a bandana on her head while she was pregnant with Peter Phillips.
A photo of Princess Diana, when she was just 20 years old, shows the late Princess of Wales wearing an oversized maternity dress while pregnant with Prince William. Her green polka dot dress was the same attire she wore when she introduced her firstborn to the world.
Two years later, Princess Diana was photographed in her oversized pink dress and white fur sweater while pregnant with Prince Harry. While she was pregnant, Princess Diana opened up about her kids in an interview.
“Royal firstborns may get all the glory, but second borns enjoy more freedom. Only when Harry is a lot older will he realize how lucky he is not to have been the eldest. My second child will never have quite the same sort of pressure that poor William must face all his life,” she said.
Several years later, it was Kate Middleton’s turn to be photographed with her baby bump. She got pregnant with her first child in 2012 and gave birth in 2013. One of her first maternity clothes was her empire-waist dress designed by her favorite Jenny Packham.
In 2015, she was photographed in a pink trench coat while pregnant with Princess Charlotte. She most recently stepped out in her black attire while pregnant with Prince Louis. She and Prince William’s youngest child was born on April 23.
At present, it is Markle’s turn to be photographed with her growing baby bump. She and Prince Harry will welcome their first child in the spring of 2019.
