Queen Elizabeth Reportedly Convinced Prince Harry Not To Abandon Royal Life With This
Queen Elizabeth II reportedly convinced her grandson, Prince Harry, to keep his royal title.
Prince William has been trained to be a future king. On the other hand, Prince Harry didn’t have a definitive role in the royal family. He grew up rebellious and even made headlines in 2012 when his nude photos from a strip billiards game leaked.
According to 2018 documentary “Meghan Markle: American Princess,” there was a time in his life when Prince Harry wanted to give up all his rights and privileges as a royal. When he was younger, the Duke of Sussex reportedly wanted to be a commoner.
“Harry was a reluctant Royal,” royal biographer Penny Junor said. “I think there was a real danger at one time that Harry might turn his back on his Royal life and his Royal responsibilities and go and live somewhere quietly.”
In the end, Prince Harry changed his mind and opted to continue his royal life and duties. According to “CBS This Morning” co-host Gayle King, the duke’s choice was influenced by his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty apparently did something that made Prince Harry stay.
“She, like the rest of us, forgave him,” King said.
Last year, there were also rumors that Prince Harry and Markle were planning to leave the royal family. An unidentified source claimed that Prince Harry and Markle wished to give their baby a normal life, so they wanted to depart from the royal household.
The insider went on to say that Prince Harry was willing to give up his title and $150 million trust fund just to have a normal life with his own family. The source added that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would make their announcement after their Commonwealth tour.
Gossip Cop debunked the report. The publication pointed out the lack of announcement. In addition, it would not make sense for Prince Harry to give up his wealth if he wanted to give his child and family a good life.
Prince Harry and Markle reunited with Prince William, Middleton and the rest of the members of the royal family during the holidays to spend the Christmas together in Sandringham. During the royals’ traditional Christmas day service, the two duchesses appeared friendly despite their rumored rift. However, according to body language expert Judi James, the two princes looked “ill at ease.”
