Queen Elizabeth Rewarded Kate Middleton After Making Heartbreaking Sacrifice For Prince William
Before Kate Middleton married Prince William, she was a young woman, who was eager to make a name for herself. However, once she fell in love with the Duke of Cambridge, she was forced to make a heartbreaking decision.
After Kate completed her History of Arts degree at the University of St Andrew’s, she landed several jobs that set her up for a bright future. The Duchess of Cambridge had plans to work her way up and build a career.
According to Express UK, Kate worked at her parents’ party supplier company after graduation, before snagging a job as a part-time accessories buyer for the London-based clothing store, Jigsaw Junior.
Although Kate’s name was in the headlines due to her relationship with Prince William, it didn’t stop her from getting to know her colleagues. The former owner of the company, Belle Robinson, claimed Kate enjoyed mingling with co-workers.
“She sat in the kitchen at lunchtime and chatted with everyone from the van drivers to the account girls,” she previously told the Evening Standard.
Although Kate enjoyed her job, she had dreamed of focusing on one of her greatest passions, photography. However, she was unable to explore her desire after she became engaged to Prince William in 2010, and married the following year.
In 2019, Kate was given the chance to explore her love of photography when Queen Elizabeth handed down her patronage of the Royal Photographic Society.
“The Duchess of Cambridge has a longstanding interest in photography, and this patronage will further highlight the beneficial impact art and creativity can have on emotional wellbeing, particularly for children and young people,” Kensington Palace revealed in a statement.
The Patronage also allows Kate to express her creativity through design, textiles and visual arts. When she isn’t busy with her royal duties, the 37-year-old occasionally snaps photos of her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
